City’s Aquatic Center opens Saturday

The City of Bainbridge Aquatic Center, located at 601 Potter St., will open for the summer beginning Saturday, May 22.
Hours open to the public are 1 until 8 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 1 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Admission is $2 for infants to age 5, $4 for ages 6 to 49, and $2 for ages 50 and older.
During normal operating hours, the group rate is 80 percent of the normal admission fee, with a minimum of 10 people per group. A birthday party with 20 or more people in the group should call the pool to make a reservation.
An individual season pass is $120. A family season pass for a family up to four members is $200, with $35 for each additional family member exceeding four.
Pool private rental is available Friday, Saturday or Sunday, between the hours of 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The total pool rental cost includes the slide, lifeguard fee and a $75 deposit for a total price of $300. The children’s total pool rental cost includes the children’s pool, lifeguard fee and a $50 deposit for a total price of $150.

Swimming lessons are being offered in three sessions this year. Session one runs June 7-18. Session two is June 21-July 2. Session three is July 12-23.
Lessons cost $35 per session, and sessions are from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Space for swimming lessons will be limited to 30 children per session.
Swimming lessons are offered for ages 2 to 17 years old.
