A funeral service for Mr. James M. Connell, 73, of Bainbridge, will be held on Friday, May 14, at 3:00 p.m. at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jean Watson officiating. Interment will follow at Oak City Cemetery.

Born March 21, 1937, in Bainbridge, Mr. Connell passed away Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at Select Specialty Hospital in Tallahassee, Fla.

He worked for Miller Hydro Company for over twenty years, was the owner of C & J Enterprises and was of the Methodist faith.

Mr. Connell was preceded in death by his daughter, Ginger Teresa Connell.

Survivors include his wife, Cecilia Hodges Connell of Bainbridge; his sons, James Connell Jr. of Dothan, Ala., Tommy Connell, Mickey Connell, Stevie Connell and Ricky Wheeler, all of Bainbridge; his daughter, Chris Smith of Atlanta, Ga.; his brothers, Scott Connell, Deese Connell and and Jack Connell; ten grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
