A memorial service for Kenneth Eugene Gray, 86, of Bainbridge, Ga., will be announced at a later date.

Born on Dec. 28, 1924, Mr. Gray died on Wednesday, April 14, 2010, at Tallahassee Memorial, where he had been for 20 days before he died of a massive heart attack.

Mr. Gray retired at the age of 55 and spent his time enjoying his hobby of growing, rooting and hybridizing many kinds of plants. He also loved growing vegetables in his garden. Mr. Gray, as well as the rest of his family, is of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Gray is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Ellis Gray and Ida Mae Cato Gray; and one sister, Carolyn Gray Kelly.

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Frances Thomas Gray; one son, Stanley Eugene Gray and his wife, Sue Saul Gray; one granddaughter, Kelley Gray Pollock and her husband, Billy Pollock; one great-grandson, Will Pollock; and one great-granddaughter, Victoria Pollock, all of Bainbridge, and one sister, Jane Gray Anderson of Hendersonville, Tenn.

There will be a private family service held at Cedar Grove Cemetery and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, Ga., is in charge of arrangements.
