Nell Wells

Funeral services for Nell Davis Wells, 68, of Climax, were held Monday, April 12, in the chapel of Cox-Ware Funeral Home with the Rev. Debbie Cone officiating.

Interment followed at Mount Olive Baptist Church Cemetery with Adam Henry, Goober Wells, Skyler Sorrow, Ladon Wells, Clifford Wells, Chris Davis, Mark Eakin and Jared Busby serving as active pallbearers.

Born March 6, 1942, in Early County, Mrs. Wells died on Friday, April 9, 2010, at her residence.

Mrs. Wells lived most all her life in Decatur County. She was of the Baptist faith, loved her family and grandchildren and enjoyed fishing, cooking, flowers and windchimes. She was employed with Amoco for 26 years. She was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers, Lucious Davis Jr., Earl Davis, Calvin Davis and Billy Davis.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Davis of Climax and Popsicle Busby of Colquitt, Ga.; six sons, Robert Henry of Newton, Ga., Billy Wayne Davis and Scooter Wells, both of Damascus, Ga., Peewee Wells of Climax, Tadpole Wells of Bainbridge and Booger Wells of Patmos, Ga.; one sister, JoAnn Henry of Colquitt; 19 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Cox-Ware Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
