Funeral services for Pamela Carrie Connell Gatlin, 36, were held Wednesday, March 24, at Grace Community Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bill McCamon officiating.

Interment followed at Mount Pleasant Cemetery near Chattahoochee, Fla.

Born Aug. 23, 1973, in Tallahassee, Fla., Mrs. Gatlin died in Tallahassee on March 22, 2010, after a lengthy illness. She was a lifelong resident of Chattahoochee, Fla., and a member of Grace Community Baptist Church, where she was very active with the children and youth groups and treasurer for the church.

Mrs. Gatlin was a devoted homemaker and a graduate in the class of 1991 of Chattahoochee High School and a graduate of Chipola Junior College, earning her Associate of Art degree. She was so very loved by her husband and family and her many, many friends and always returned that love with all her heart. She never hesitated giving her service to her church, her family and her friends, and her husband wishes everyone to know the family will accept flowers or may make contributions to the Lupus Foundation (www.lupus.org) or the Grace Community Baptist Church, 2059 Booster Club Road, Bainbridge, GA 39819.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, H.G. Connell, and her maternal grandparents, Rufus and Alice Mae Williams.

Survivors include her husband and best friend, Chris; her very loving parents, H.D. and Carolyn Connell of Chattahoochee; her devoted sister, Melissa Connell Stephens of Quincy, Fla.; her paternal grandmother, Rucia Connell of Bainbridge; and a number of aunts, uncles, niece and nephews.

Lanier-Andler Funeral Home of Sneads, Fla., was in charge of arrangements.
