Customer Service Awards certificates and pins for the first two months of 2010 went to two Bainbridge College (BC) staff members, one on the main campus and one at the BC Early County Center (BCEC).

The two have gone above and beyond in conducting their duties for students, faculty and staff.

BC President Tom Wilkerson presented certificates and “Above and Beyond” lapel pins to BC Library Assistant Chandra Anderson-Casteel and to BCEC’s Lori Haddock, who serves as student services professional for admissions.

Haddock received the award for February and Anderson-Casteel the award for January, said Tonya Strickland, Customer Service Committee champion.

Accepting her award March 17 in the atrium lobby at BCEC, Haddock said she was “really accepting the award for all of us” at the site because “we are a team.”

The March 16 ceremony in the library on the Bainbridge campus was delayed because the award recipient was doing what she was being honored for—helping numerous students. After her brief remarks, Anderson-Casteel was called away from well-wishers by a student who needed her assistance.

“Thank you, Chandra, for inspiring us all with your outstanding service to our college as you willingly share your time and talents, even staying hours past your normal work schedule many times this year to help students,” Strickland said in announcing the recipients to the campus community.

“Thank you, Lori, for inspiring us all with your outstanding service as you always take time for students, no matter how busy you are, making sure they have a great experience at our college,” she said in the announcement.
