Funeral services for Charlie “C.E.” Comerford, 66, of Bainbridge, were held Monday, March 22, in the chapel of Ivey Funeral Home with Minister Harold King officiating.
Interment followed at Roselawn Memory Gardens with Chris Hill, Chris Hill Jr., Paul Patel, Phil Hatton, Phillip Hatton and Edward Comerford serving as active pallbearers.
Born Feb. 22, 1944, in Bainbridge, Mr. Comerford died on Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge.
Mr. Comerford was in the retail grocery business for most of his life, and served as assistant manager for Herring’s IGA for many years. He was a member of Bainbridge Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his sister, Louvinia C. Freeman.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Ruby Rabon Comerford of Bainbridge; his son, Mitchell E. Comerford of Brinson; his daughter, Rhonda C. Talley of Bainbridge; his brother, Eddie Lee Comerford of Ochlocknee, Ga., and two grandchildren.
Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
