Funeral services for Jack A. Knight, 61, of Lake Placid, Fla., formerly of Bainbridge, were held Saturday, March 20, at First Baptist Church of Lake Placid with the Rev. Brett Morey officiating.

Interment followed at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Placid.

Born on Jan. 29, 1949, in Bainbridge, Ga., Mr. Knight died on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, in Sebring, Fla.

Mr. Knight was a faithful attendee and member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Placid. He was a cattle broker in the cattle industry for more than 40 years. He was a resident of Lake Placid since 1977 after moving there from Bainbridge.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret Griffin of Bainbridge; his wife of 41 years, Maria Knight of Lake Placid, Fla.; a son, Steven Alan Knight of Orlando, Fla.; two daughters, Jackie Knight Austin of Sebring, Fla., and Kristin Knight of Lake Placid, Fla.; a brother, Pete Knight of Havana, Fla.; and three grandchildren.

Stephenson-Nelson Funeral Home in Sebring, Fla., was in charge of arrangements.
