Funeral services for Abbie Anderson Dollar, 73, of Bainbridge, will be held Saturday, March 20, at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Paul Medley officiating.

Interment will follow at Oak City Cemetery.

Born June 6, 1936, in Scott County, Tenn., Mrs. Dollar died on Thursday, March 18, 2010, at Memorial Manor.

Mrs. Dollar moved to Bainbridge in 1958 to serve as secretary of the administrator of Memorial Hospital during its construction. She married Hubert Dollar in 1959 and together the were very active in the civic and political life of Bainbridge. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Hilda Byrd Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her husband, T. Hubert Dollar in 2001.

Survivors include her son, Tommy Dollar and his wife, Audrey, of Bainbridge; her daughter, Tamara D. Hader and her husband, Sean, of Bainbridge; four grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
