BHS meet with Bulloch

The Bainbridge High School Family, Career and Community Leaders of America recently visited the Georgia State Capitol as a part of the FCCLA state project Legislative Connection.

FCCLA State Youth Leadership Board member Whitney Thomas along with local chapter officers Leanna Flowers and Shelby Miller and BHS FCCLA adviser Megan Pritchett met with Sen. John Bulloch on Wednesday, Feb. 10.

Sen. Bulloch took the group on a tour of his office and talked with them for more than an hour about his legislative duties. They also discussed the current status of education within the state and thanked him for his support of Career and Technical Education and particularly Family and Consumer Sciences.

“Meeting with Senator Bulloch and having the opportunity to talk with him was really exciting because he took a great interest in everything we had to say,” said Whitney Thomas.

The group concluded their visit by taking pictures in the Capitol and touring the building.
