Funeral services for Thomas J. Widner, 55, of Colquitt, Ga., were held Tuesday, Feb. 2, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Grubbs officiating.

Graveside services followed at Gordon Cemetery in Early County, Ga., with Gary Hurst, Steve Akam, Marvin Kilgore, Anthony Whitaker, Greg Barefield and James Barefield serving as active pallbearers.

Born Nov. 14, 1954, in Colquitt, Ga., Mr. Widner died on Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, Ga.

Mr. Widner was a logger.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Widner of Bainbridge; his wife of 32 years, Alice Pate Widner of Colquitt, Ga.; his son, Thomas J. Widner Jr. of Bainbridge; his daughter, Patricia Widner of Louisville, Ky.; his brother, Charles Widner of Bainbridge; and two grandsons, T.J. Widner III and Levi Widner.

Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
