Funeral services for Mary Virginia Moore, 52, of Bainbridge, were held Saturday, Jan. 30, in the chapel of Bruton Mortuary with the Rev. Ronald L. Williams officiating.
Interment followed at Open Pond Cemetery with friends of Ms. Moore’s family serving as active pallbearers.
Born Oct. 25, 1957, in Decatur County, Ms. Moore died on Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, in Dothan, Ala.
Ms. More attended John Johnson Elementary School and Hutto High School in Bainbridge. She became a member of Dry Spring African Methodist Episcopal Church at an early age.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Patrick Scott Moore; and her stepfather, Nathaniel Crawford Sr.
Survivors include a daughter, Angela Denise Moore of Bainbridge; her son, Patrick B. Moore of Bainbridge; five sisters, Charlene D. Moore Anderson, Deborah M. Douglas and Sandra Taylor, all of Bainbridge, as well as Clarissa L. Moore of Cairo, Ga., and Susan Taylor of Atlanta; seven brothers, Clarence L. Moore of Illinois, Calvin W. Moore of Maryland, as well as Richard Moore, Terry D. Moore and Patrick B. Moore, all of Bainbridge, Alfred L. Moore of Atlanta, Ga., and Deron Taylor of Lakeland, Fla.; a special friend, Bobby Snell of Cottonwood, Ala., four grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Bruton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
