The Sam Howell Memorial Golf Tournament “Pars for Paws” will be held Monday, Feb. 15. Sponsored by the Decatur County Humane Society, the tournament is a four-person scramble shotgun start, which will begin at 1 p.m. Registration is $50 per person (with lunch included at 12 p.m.) All teams will be assigned a total team HDCP based on individual HDCP calculated using USGA handicapping formula. Prizes are awarded based on the number of teams. Also, during the cold weather months, the Humane Society could use donated blankets for the animals who stay in the older building. None of the animals are left outside, but naturally it is a little colder in the old building than in the new one, so, if possible, donate your old blankets!
