Jacobs, a second-team, All-Region 1AAAA defensive tackle, had 41 tackles, five tackles for loss, one caused fumble and two quarterback hurries.

Chrispen had 12 receptions on the season.

In last year’s inaugural Border Wars game at Jackets’ Nest Stadium, three former Bearcats were instrumental in the Southwest Georgia All-Stars 35-3 victory over the Florida Big Bend All-Stars.

Ben Reynolds, a walk-on with the University of Georgia Bulldogs where he earned offensive scout team player of the year in the recently completed season, started and played most of the game at right guard.

Linebacker Brian Hughes and safety Eric Henry played well on defense.

Players representing 30 Georgia high schools and 30 Florida high schools will be taking part in this year’s game. They will be playing in front of college scouts and recruiters.

An All-Star banquet honoring both teams will take place Friday at 7 p.m. at the Thomas County Central High School cafeteria.

Prior to kickoff Saturday, there will be an all-star military salute during the National Anthem to honor all active military personnel. Active military service personnel will be admitted to the game free with their showing of proper identification. Tickets at the gate will be $10.

The game is sponsored by Varsity Sports Management and “In The Zone” High School Sports Magazine.
