Funeral services for Juanita Anderson Neal, 64, of Climax, were held Wednesday, Dec. 23, at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. John Neal Jr. officiating.

Interment followed in Conyers Cemetery with members of Genesis Lodge 594 serving as active pallbearers.

Born May 8, 1945, in Bainbridge, Mrs. Neal died on Dec. 17, 2009, at her residence.

Mrs. Neal grew up in Climax and attended Mount Moriah School. She continued her education at Bainbridge College and Lively Technical Center. She was a member of Greater St. Andrews Church and served as a church liaison to the Full Gospel Baptist Fellowship Florida Conference. She was a Worthy Matron in the Oak Ridge Chapter No. 240 Order of the Eastern Star, a Masonic auxiliary organization. She was a bus driver for Decatur County schools for 32 years.

Survivors include her husband of 48 years, John Walter Neal; five daughters, Marilyn Bowman, Amanda Jean Neal, Barbara Bell and Gondia Bouie; a son, John Henry Neal; her siblings, Willie Gus, Henry Lee, Rudolph, Michael Ray Anderson, Robert Harrell, Kenneth, Stanley, Jessie Williams, Barbara Williams, Beverly Jenkins, Mary, Sandra Anderson, Grace Arnett, Cynthia Halley and Denise Thomas; special friends, Jacqueline Burke, Arrie Battles and Julia Warthaw; a sister-in-law, nine godchildren, 12 grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
