Charles Hodges

Funeral services for Charles Hodges, 81, of Bainbridge, were held Tuesday, Dec. 22, at Greater Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in Bainbridge with the Rev. Henry L. Flowers III officiating.
Interment followed at Jonas Lobe Cemetery with friends of Mr. Hodges’ family serving as active pallbearers.
Born Sept. 29, 1928, in Bainbridge, Mr. Hodges died on Dec. 18, 2009, at Memorial Manor in Bainbridge.
Mr. Hodges attended school in Bainbridge. He later moved to New York, N.Y., where he worked for Bellevue Hospital until his retirement. He enjoyed cooking.
Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Williams Hodges; three sons, Larry Hodges of Newark, N.J., Anthony Hodges of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Stanley Hodges of Plainfield, N.J.; three daughters, Faye Hodges of New York, N.Y., Sonje Hodges of Maplewood, N.J., and Tracey Hodges of Atlanta, Ga.; a brother, Albert Hodges of Hackensack, N.J.; seven sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law, 15 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of other family and friends.
Bruton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
