A memorial service for Bobby Garnett Edwards Sr., 73, of Jakin, Ga., will be held on Friday, Dec. 11, at 3 p.m. at Springfield Baptist Church in Jakin with the Rev. Danny Brewer officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Born in Nashville, Tenn., on April 12, 1936, Mr. Edwards died on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009, at his residence.

Mr. Edwards had worked as a contractor as well as in a fiberglass factory.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and by his brother, Willard “Jack” Edwards.

Survivors include his son, Bobby Garnett Edwards Jr. of Jakin; a brother, Claude Reansoner of Hendersonville, Tenn.; his sister, Bettie Jo Revells of Jakin; and numerous nieces and nephews.
