A private funeral service was held for Rose Marie “Rosie” Bowman, 86, of Tallahassee, Fla.

Born May 5, 1923, in Kelseyville, Calif., Mrs. Bowman died on Nov. 1, 2009, in Tallahassee.

Mrs. Bowman was raised in Canton, Ohio, and later retired to Bradenton, Fla., where she was a member of Whitfield Christian Church in Sarasota, Fla. Mrs. Bowman was a retired registered nurse; she did her nurses’ training in the Air Cadet Corps. She loved to bowl, golf, sew, paint and going out to eat.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Ralph; and a brother, Raymond Sengleitner.

She is survived by one son, Brad of Crawfordville, Fla.; one daughter, Dawn of Bainbridge, Ga.; a sister, Frances of New London, Conn.; three grandchildren, Tiffany of Tallahassee, Fla.; Stephen of Green Bay, Wis., and Holton of Bainbridge, Ga.; and four great-grandchildren,

Culley’s MeadowWood Funeral Home in Tallahassee, Fla., was in charge of funeral arrangements.
