Graveside services for Gerald “Bear” Odom, 55, of Donalsonville, Ga., were held on Tuesday, Nov. 24, at Seminole Shores Cemetery in Donalsonville with the Rev. John Smith officiating.

Born March 29, 1954, in Donalsonville, Mr. Odom died on Saturday, Nov. 21, 2009, at his residence.

Mr. Odom attended Salem Seminole Baptist Church. He worked with plantation services and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Survivors include a brother, Ellis Odom of Donalsonville; four sisters: Judy Cook of Donalsonville, Ruby Jean Alday of Ashford, Ala., Patricia Roberts of Cairo, Ga., and Margaret Wimberly of Bainbridge; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville was in charge of arrangements.
