Graveside services for Stella Matthews Smith, 76, of Donalsonville, will be held on Saturday, Nov. 14, at 2 p.m. at Spring Creek Baptist Church in Donalsonville with the Revs. James Scarborough and Donna Bevels officiating.

Mrs. Smith’s grandsons will serve as active pallbearers.

Born Feb. 10, 1933, in Oakland Park, Fla., Mrs. Smith died on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009, at her residence.

Mrs. Smith was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church, Lake Seminole Lion’s Club, a board member of Salvation Army, Southwest Georgia Division; a Garden Club member since 1981 and was also a Hospice worker.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, James Donald Smith.

Survivors include a son, James Wyatt Smith of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; three daughters, Janis Smith Love of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Donna Leigh Driggers and Julie Bredden Bush, both of Donalsonville; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville is in charge of arrangements.
