Competition cheerleaders second in Moultrie
The Bainbridge High School competition cheerleaders, coached by Sheri Dunn-Ulm and Lauren Turner, placed second at the South Georgia Cheer Fest on Oct. 24 at the Colquitt County High School in Moultrie.
The squad is comprised of Captains Kenzi Harrison and Emily Newsome, co-Captains Chelsey Bryant and Tori Williams, and members Tandria Burke, Leanna Flowers, Jalyn Harrison, Ivy Heard, Michael Lindley Jones, Allison Kelley, Maddie McIntosh, Charlton Reynolds, Morgan Rogers, Katie Fayth Roland, Searcy Smith, Tara Smith and Aubrey Weaver.
The squad will be attending the Last Chance Cheer Competition on today, Oct. 31, in Sylvester.
Coach Dunn-Ulm said competitions like the ones in Moultrie and Sylvester allow the girls to compete and be critiqued by a set of judges before they enter the region competition on Saturday, Nov. 7, in Columbus.
“We could not have been prouder of the girls and the effort which they put forth in this Moultrie competition,” she said. “I don’t think I have ever seen a BHS squad perform as they did. We are very proud of them and the manner in which they represented Bainbridge High School.”
