Funeral services for Mary Louise Wright Battles, 69, of Havana, Fla., was held Saturday, Oct. 10, at Mount Zion A.M.E. Church in Havana with the Rev. Freddie N. Tellis officiating.
Interment followed in the church’s cemetery with Arthur Manual, Cardrick Washington, Robert Washington, Martell Banks, Tommy Hinson Jr. and Quinton Washington serving as active pallbearers.
Mrs. Battles was a member of Mount Zion A.M.E. Church in Havana.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, L.C. Battles.
Survivors include six daughters, Mary Alice Knight, Essie Mae Banks, Elizabeth Hinson, Denise Battles, Ruth Hinson and Doris Bell; four sons, L.C. Alexander Battles, Orrin Battles, Sammie Lee Battles and Johnny Lee Battles; four brothers, Willie C. Wright, Joseph Wright, Edwin Bruce Britt and Elijah Stackhouse; three sisters, Beulah Mae Wright, Annie D. Clemons and Lucy P. McGriff; five sisters-in-law; a special and devoted niece, Lizza O’Neal; 25 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Melton Mortuary in Attapulgus was in charge of arrangements.
