Gus Bush

Funeral services for Gus Bush, 66, of Bainbridge, were held Saturday, Oct. 10, at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Brinson with the Rev. Cleveland Sanders officiating.
Interment followed in Jonas Lobe Cemetery in Bainbridge with Anthony Smith, Van Smith, Tyrone Bush, Harold Smith, Victory Smith and Larry Bush serving as active pallbearers.
Born March 4, 1943, in Lee County, Ga., Mr. Bush died on Oct. 4, 2009, at Memorial Manor in Bainbridge.
Mr. Bush was a taxi cab driver and a faithful member of Antioch M.B. Church in Brinson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Spencer Dismuke, and a sister, Verna Jean Cohen.
Survivors include his long time life partner, Christie Wilson; two sons, Sean Wilson and Augustus Wilson, both of Bainbridge; a daughter, Cara Wilson of New York; two brothers, Charles White of Bainbridge and Joseph Jenkins of Round Rock, Texas; a sister, Mary Lou Smith of Bainbridge; a grandson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bruton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
