Funeral services for Charlotte Davis Brackin, 57, of Blakely, Ga., will be held Thursday, Oct. 8, at 3 p.m. at Flat Creek Baptist Church in Blakely, Ga., with the Revs. Robert Johns and Edd Sells officiating.
Interment will follow in the church’s cemetery with Arthur Brackin, Charles Brackin, Mike Boyd, Ronnie Shiver, Mike Chancey, Clay Poague, Sonny Love and Billy Joe Newberry serving as active pallbearers.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 7, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home in Blakely.
Born May 26, 1952, in Jackson County, Fla., Mrs. Brackin died at her residence on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009, following a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Brackin was a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church and was the assistant manager of Maxway in Blakely.
Survivors include her mother, Lillian Rhods Deese of Cottonwood, Ala.; her husband, Dan. G. Brackin of Blakely; her stepmother, Virginia Davis of Pelham, Ga.; three daughters, Brenda Danette Sikes of Savannah, Ga., Angela Marie Poague and Jennifer Ann Suggs, both of Blakely; three sons, Jimmy Earl Adams Jr. of Iron City, Ga., Daniel Eugene Brackin of Savannah and Jeffery Scott Adams of Blakely; one sister, Annette Lee of Blakely; six brothers, Tommy Davis of Dothan, Ala., Gilbert Davis of Pelham, Ga., Paul Davis of Camilla, Ga., Andrew Johnson of St. Marys, Ga., Eddie Johnson of Cottonwood, Ala., and Roger Smith of Mackton, Ill.; 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Manry Jordan Hodges Funeral Home in Blakely is in charge of funeral arrangements.
