Charles Fagg

Funeral services for Charles J. Fagg, 66, of Bainbridge, were held Saturday, Oct. 10, at Smith Grove M.B. Church No. 2 in Attapulgus with the Rev. Samuel McMillian officiating.
Interment followed in Flea Town Cemetery in Climax, with Mr. Fagg’s nephews and friends serving as active pallbearers.
Born June 23, 1943, in Attapulgus, Mr. Fagg died on Oct. 4, 2009, at his residence.
Mr. Fagg was educated in Decatur County schools. He was employed by Bainbridge Roofing and Sheet Metal for 42 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Sylvester Fagg Jr.
Survivors include his wife, Benetta Fagg; two sons, Charles Hodges and Matthew Jackson, both of Bainbridge; two daughters, Mary Ansley of Bainbridge and Pamela Murphy of Tallahassee, Fla.; five sisters, Mattie Guy, Elois Russell, Bobbie Screen, Jeanetta Jones and Margaret Fagg; an aunt, two sisters-in-law, nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones and friends.
Bruton Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
