Multiple auto break-ins were reported along the 200 and 300 blocks of Kelley Road on the morning of Sept. 25, in which car audio equipment and other items were taken.

Aware of the victims’ reports, Deputy Vincent Edmond made contact with two suspicious males walking along the 2100 block of Butler Ferry Road. One of them, 24-year-old Deddrick Riggins of 105 Dow Jones Road, Bainbridge, was arrested after deputies discovered he was wanted out of the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office for a felony probation warrant. According to an incident report, Riggins attempted to flee, then while struggling with Deputy Edmonds, kicked out a window of his patrol car. Other deputies arrived to assist in the arrest. Riggins was charged with interference with government property and obstruction of an officer.

Three auto break-ins were reported along the 300 block of Hales Landing Road between Sept. 26-27. An auto CD player faceplate, satellite radio, sunglasses and CDs were taken.
