Funeral services for George R. “Dilly” Dillard Jr., 60, of Bainbridge, were held Sunday, Sept. 27, at Bible Believers Fellowship Church on Blountstown Highway in Tallahassee, Fla., with Dennis Young officiating.

Interment followed at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Brinson with Billy King, Edwin King, Bubba Chason, Allen Cox, Jimmy Slocomb and Charles Perry serving as active pallbearers.

Born June 28, 1949, in Bainbridge, Mr. Dillard died on Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge.

Mr. Dillard was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1967, and a graduate of Georgia Southern University, Class of 1972. He was director of human resources for the Florida Bar Association in Tallahassee, a member of Bible Believers Fellowship Church and enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Linda King Dillard of Bainbridge; his daughter, Lindsay Kathryn Dillard-Harvell of Tallahassee; a grandson, an aunt and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
