Valdosta State University (VSU) announces the names of students from summer 2009 who have met all qualifications for graduation, as well as those who have earned the academic status of dean’s list. Decatur County students who graduated and received degrees from VSU in Summer 2009 were April Renee Belcher, Bachelor of Science; Jenni Lynn Davis, Bachelor of Science in Nursing; Catherine Hall Gossett, Education Specialist; Wallace Ryan Landrum, Master of Education; Joshua Rogers Long, Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology; and Tessie Olivia Walker, Bachelor of Arts. Decatur County students who made the VSU dean’s list for Summer 2009 were Dolisha Maria Emanuel, Ashley Marie Gaskins and Jessica Lynne Johnston. To make the dean’s list, students must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and must have a semester GPA of at least 3.5 with at least nine hours of course work. GPA requirements are based on a 4.0 scale.
