Graveside services for Arlene Foxworth Nettles Ward, 76, of Bainbridge, Ga., were held on Monday, Sept. 21, at Glennwood Cemetery in Chipley, Fla.

Interment followed at Glennwood.

Born Nov. 21, 1932, in Bainbridge, Ga., Mrs. Ward died Sept. 18, 2009, at Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge.

Mrs. Ward had lived in Decatur County for the past 19 years, moving from Chipley. She was of the Pentecostal faith, a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and gardening.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, J.B. Nettles, who died in 1972; her second husband, C.J. Ward, who died in 1987; and two sons, Donnie and James Michael Nettles.

She is survived by one son, Stanley Nettles of Bainbridge; three daughters, Gail Ann McLendon of Iron City, Ga., Sheryl Foust of Pensacola, Fla., and Vickie Lynn Taylor of Florida; one brother, William Ernest Foxworth of Chipley, and six grandchildren.

Cox-Ware Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
