Funeral services for Lois Ivey Hodges, 96, of Bainbridge, were held Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Doug Harvey officiating.
Interment followed at Open Pond Cemetery near Jakin, Ga.
Born Sept. 7, 1913, in Jakin, Ga., Mrs. Hodges died on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, at Memorial Manor in Bainbridge.
Mrs. Hodges graduated from Donalsonville High School and was a retired executive secretary for Sears and Roebuck. She was a member of Brinson United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewitt Andrew Hodges; four brothers, A.D. Ivey Jr., Edward Ivey, Quentin Ivey and Ralph Ivey; and a sister, Merle Ivey.
Survivors include a brother, Carl Ivey of Birmingham, Ala.; a sister, Marie I. Parker of Statesboro, Ga.; and many nieces and nephews.
Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
