James “J.C.” Godwin, 58, of Jakin, Ga., died Wednesday, Sept. 8, at the Early County Hospital in Blakely, Ga. Funeral services for Mr. Godwin will be held Saturday, Sept. 12, at 1 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church with Pastor Hayward Teague officiating. Interment will follow in the church’s cemetery. Jacobs Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements.
