The brother team of Brad and Lance Reynolds pulled in a five-fish limit of bass weighing 24 pounds, 6 ounces last Saturday on Lake Seminole to win the $1,500 first prize in the fifth annual Bainbridge-Decatur County YMCA Gray Memorial Bass Tournament.
Proceeds from the tournament, named in honor and memory of Sammy Gray, an avid fisherman, strong supporter of the YMCA and successful businessman with the Bainbridge Pepsi Bottling Company, allow the YMCA to provide financial assistance for program fees and membership dues for people who otherwise could not afford it.
Second place in the tournament, which was held at Big Jim’s at Reynolds Landing, was captured by the father and son team of Frank and Frankie Jordan of Bainbridge with a catch tipping the scales at 20 pounds, 4 ounces.
The tournament is held the Saturday before Labor Day each year.
The championship team of Brad and Lance Reynolds also had the lunker of the tournament, which weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces.
