Funeral services for Russell Lamar Trammell, 40, of Iron City, Ga., were held Tuesday, Sept. 1, at the Iron City Baptist Church with the Rev. John H. Cunningham officiating.

Burial followed in the Corinth Free Will Baptist Cemetery in Iron City with the Rev. Robyn Mann officiating.

Born Sept. 11, 1968, in Dothan, Ala., Mr. Trammell died Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, at his home.

Mr. Trammell lived in Northport, Ala., as a child. He was a graduate of Seminole County High School in Donalsonville, Ga. He lived on Lake Seminole most of his adult lifetime before moving to Iron City. He was affiliated with the New Hope Church in Donalsonville.

Mr. Trammell was preceded in death by his mother, Ronda Trammell Pate, and his grandmother, Sybil Bedsole Trammell.

Survivors include his grandfather, Lamar Trammell of Iron City; his step-father, John Pate of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; aunts, uncles and other family members and friends.

Holman-Headland Mortuary of Headland, Ala., was in charge of funeral arrangements.
