Funeral services for Orie Lee Walden, 93, of Whigham, were held Sunday, Aug. 30, at Providence Baptist Church with the Revs. Doug Halstead, Robert Crapps and John Forsman officiating.

Interment followed at Providence Cemetery with her grandsons and great-grandsons serving as pallbearers.

Born Nov. 22, 1915, in Grady County, Mrs. Walden died Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, at her residence.

Mrs. Walden was a homemaker and a member of Providence Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin Elmer Walden, and her parents.

Survivors include two daughters, Frances Ezell of Whigham, Ga., and Judy Lamb of Jesup, Ga.; a son, Dwain Walden of Moultrie, Ga.; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Clark Funeral Home in Cairo, Ga., was in charge of funeral arrangements.
