The sixth annual Bainbridge-Decatur County YMCA Gray Memorial Bass Tournament, headquartered at Big Jim’s at Reynolds Landing, will get underway Saturday at safe daylight.

Two-person fishing teams will be vying for the $1,500 first prize. The second-place team will receive $750. There will also be a $10 per boat big fish pot.

The tournament—held each year in memory of the late Sammy Gray, who was an avid fisherman, strong supporter of the YMCA and successful businessman with the Bainbridge Pepsi Bottling Company—benefits the Partners with Youth fund that provides financial assistance to deserving youth and families who wish to participate in YMCA programs.

Teams will return to Big Jim’s for 3 p.m. weigh-in. Door prizes will be given away at 3:30 p.m.
