Funeral services for Carolyn Elizabeth Hughes Willis, 72, of Donalsonville, Ga., were held on Thursday, Aug. 27, in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, with Elder W.H. Phillips officiating.
Interment followed in Friendship Cemetery in Donalsonville with Ricky Bracewell, Brock Smith, Billy Smith, Jason Mann, Ronnie Shiver and Thomas Earl Davis serving as active pallbearers.
Born on Sept. 5, 1936, in Houston County Ala., Mrs. Willis died on Monday, Aug. 24, 2009, at her residence.
Mrs. Willis was a member of the First Baptist Church in Donalsonville. She worked with Tom Faircloth at Cash Drug Store for more than 20 years and had been working at Grow Drugs in Colquitt for the past five to six years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sons, Ronnie Smith and Kim Smith.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Aubrey E. Willis of Donalsonville; a brother, Norman Hughes of Tallahassee, Fla.; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
