Funeral services for Sarah Nash, 65, of Donalsonville, Ga., were held Monday, Aug. 24, in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with the Rev. James Scarborough officiating.

Interment followed at Springhill Cemetery in Gordon, Ala.

Born Oct. 7, 1943, in Early County, Ga., Mrs. Nash died on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009, in Donalsonville.

Mrs. Nash was a homemaker and loved being with her family. She was of the Baptist faith.

Mrs. Nash was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Alton Nash; two brothers, Ladon Bruner and Ben Bruner Jr.; a sister, Virginia Robinson; and a grandson, Gregory Graves.

Survivors include five sons, Ronald McMillan of Albany, Ga., Micheal Herring of Gulf Port, Miss., David Nash of Roanoke, Ala., Allen Nash of San Antonio, Texas, and James Daniel McMillan of Albany; four daughters, Glenda Degroff of New York, Leisa Taylor of Donalsonville, Jennifer Porche Allday of Donalsonville, and Robyn Watford of Alabama; a brother, Ronnie Bruner of Columbus, Ala.; four sisters, Jessie Alday of Donalsonville, Anna Jean Hall of Nashville, Tenn., Faye Anderson and Ethel Trawick, both of Columbus, Ala.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville was in charge of funeral arrangements.
