Deloris Tilton

A funeral service for Deloris Birdsong Tilton, 56, of Thomaston, Ga., was held Tuesday, Aug. 25 at Eldorendo Baptist Church with the Rev. Thomas P. Long officiating.
Interment will follow at Eldorendo Baptist Church Cemetery, with Lance Brebham, Kim Rentz, Winston Williams, Gerald Franklin, Gene Dunlap, and Randy Dunlap serving as active pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Tuesday at Eldorendo Baptist Church prior to the service, from 1:15 to 2 p.m.
Born May 15, 1953, Mrs. Tilton died on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2009, at her residence.
Mrs. Tilton grew up in Bainbridge, and was a member of Eldorendo Baptist Church until moving to Thomaston five years ago. A 1971 alumnus of Bainbridge High School, Mrs. Tilton was a homemaker and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Thomaston, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Don Birdsong.
Survivors include her mother, Eula Roper Birdsong of Bainbridge; her daughter, Eve Tilton Worley of Jacksonville, Fla.; her son, Adam Tilton of Atlanta, Ga.; three brothers, John H. Birdsong Jr. of Camilla, William “Billy” Birdsong of Bainbridge, and Vic Birdsong of Bainbridge; three sisters, Myralynn B. Tutwiler of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Janice B. Young of Tulsa, Okla., and Elaine B. Denham of Thomaston; and two grandchildren.
Ivey Funeral Home in Bainbridge is in charge of funeral arrangements.
