Funeral services for Russell “Rusty” Burke, Jr., 73, of Bainbridge will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 29 at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Gerald A. Little officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Ivey Funeral Home.

Born May 27, 1936 in Atlanta, Ga., Mr. Burke passed away Thursday, August 20, 2009 at Bainbridge Health Care.

Mr. Burke was a graduate of the University of Georgia where he was in Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He was a retired bank loan officer.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert R. “Bobby” Burke.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Davis Burke of Bainbridge; three sons, Rusty Burke, III of Lena, Miss., Davis Burke of Nolensville, Tenn., and Lee Burke of Brandon, Miss.; his sister, Mary Frances Hood of Atlanta; three grandchildren, nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
