Martha Clemons

Funeral services for Martha Jean Braswell Clemons were held Friday, Aug. 14, at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel with Fletcher Sheffield officiating.
Interment followed in Desser Cemetery in Seminole County with Major Bob Haskin, Pete Laycock, Randall Braswell, Steven Braswell, John Malloy and Shandrel Nash serving as pallbearers.
Born April 13, 1947, in Seminole County, Ga., Mrs. Clemons died on Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Ala.
Mrs. Clemons was raised in Decatur County and moved to Miller County 38 years ago. She was a member of Kimbrell Chapel Church of God and was a homemaker. Mrs. Clemons loved to fish and was an avid antique collector.
Survivors include her husband of 38 years, Charles Clemons Sr. of Colquitt; three daughters, Robbie Braswell Laycock of Thomasville, Ga., Sandi Braswell Haskin of Fort Benning, Ga., and Rebecca Karol Clemons of Colquitt, Ga,; two sons; David Braswell of Bainbridge and Charles Edward Clemons Jr. of Colquitt; two brothers, George David Braswell of Bainbridge and Norman Dennis Braswell of Georgetown, Ga.; and 11 grandchildren.
Cox-Ware Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
