Funeral services for Charles E. Lowe, 60, of Bainbridge, were held Saturday, Aug. 8, at Nelson Chapel A.M.E. Church with the Rev. John H. Wooden officiating.

Interment followed in the Williams Cemetery, located in Seminole County, Ga.

Born Nov. 13, 1948, in Seminole County, Ga., Mr. Lowe died on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2009, at his residence.

He became a Christian at an early age and was a member of Nelson Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church.

Mr. Lowe attended the public schools of Decatur County, Ga. He later became an employee of Pepsi Bottling Company, where he worked for many years.

Survivors include a sister, Mary L. Lowe of Bainbridge, Ga.; five daughters: Karrell Bush, Bernadine Heard, Natalie Redding and Felecia Thomas, all of Bainbridge, and Cathy Slappey of Tallahassee, Fla.; one son, Bernard Slappey of Havana, Fla.; a very devoted friend of many years, Jacquelyn Smalls; two aunts, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Guyton Brothers Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arrangements.
