U.S. Army Spec. Cathy Brewer, a Climax native, is stationed in Kabul, Afghanistan, but came home to Climax on leave for a visit in July. Spec. Brewer recently was the humbe driver and escort for American dignitaries visiting in her area. She is the daughter of Dollye Brewer of Climax, and granddaughter of Amos and Esther Jones also of Climax.
