Funeral services for William H. “Joe” Wisham Jr., 65, of Camilla, Ga.. will be held on Saturday, Aug. 1, at noon in the chapel of Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home in Pelham, Ga., with the Rev. Gene Robinson officiating, and the Revs. Ross Powell and Henry Kennedy assisting.

Interment will follow in Fathers Home Church Cemetery with Ricky Wisham, Troy Lamb, Jon Hoover, Woodrow Wisham, Jake Williams, Kent Wisham, Frankie Wisham and Ronald Wisham serving as active pallbearers.

Born on April 18, 1944, in Mitchell County, Ga., Mr. Wisham died on Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at his residence.

Mr. Wisham was a retired drywall finisher. He loved spending time with his family and his dog, Frannie, fishing, gardening and playing the dobro.

Mr. Wisham was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Warner L. Wisham, and a nephew, Steve Wisham. 

Survivors include his wife, Jean Wisham; daughter, Sandi Wisham Alvey of Albany, Ga.; a son, William H. Wisham III of Starke, Fla.; two grandsons, several nephews and nieces, numerous cousins, eight great-nephews and six great-nieces.

Jamerson-Braswell Funeral Home in Pelham, Ga., is in charge of funeral arrangements.
