It’s so simple

Over the past several months, I have asked local businesses to do a simple thing … allow the Bainbridge/Decatur County Humane Society to place a simple little coin collection can near the register.

You may have seen them. There are lots of them out there now. Because almost every business I’ve asked so far, has said—quite simply “Yes!”

As testimony to how simple things can move mountains, these tiny collection containers have amassed hundreds of dollars. That money helps those simple, innocent animals at our local shelter.

Now I have two very simple requests: If you see one of these collection cans, please deposit any change you can spare. Even a simple penny. They all add up!

And please patronize these businesses that have let us do this simple thing—we need all these great folks to keep our town strong:

Anytime Fitness, Aaron’s Rents, Bob’s Liquor, Tractor Supply, Boyd’s BBQ, Book Nook, Boozer’s Produce, Decatur House Restaurant, Domino’s Pizza, 5 Point Cleaners, Port City Animal Hospital, Bryan/Hight Animal Hospital, Southern Trading and Pawn, Stone’s Home Center, Sammy’s Bait and Tackle, Citgo Quik Buy, Port City Deli, People’s South Bank, Headquarters, Riverside Seafood Restaurant, Woodall’s, Cat’s Pajamas pet-sitter, Kimberly’s Country Kennel and Pet Salon.

If I’ve never stopped to ask (but you would like to allow our shelter to place a collection can), please accept my simple apology. Call 246 0101, and we’ll get one out to you.
