The Buzzmaster’s 2009 Open Bass Tournament will take place Saturday, Aug. 1, out of Trail’s End Marina on Lake Seminole, located at 3371 Georgia 253 South near Donalsonville, Ga.

The tournament is sponsored by the Ashford (Ala.) High School Band Association. The team entry fee is $125. On-site late registration begins at 4:30 a.m., with boats in the water by 5:30 a.m., and the first flight launching at safe light. C&R Outdoors will be sponsoring a “Summer Heat” series event out of Wingate’s Lodge on Aug. 9, and again on Sept. 5.

The team entry fee for both events is $160.

Wes Meadows of Media Bass is hosting a Pan Fish Tournament on Sept. 5 out of Spring Creek Park Resort, located off Georgia 253 South near Donalsonville. The tournament will benefit the Seminole County (Ga.) middle and high school bands and Parent Teacher Organization.

The top prize is $1,000 and can be won by fishing any panfish, such as shellcracker, bream, specs and more.

The entry fee is $25.

Registration for the tournament will begin at 6 a.m., with launch at 7 a.m., and weigh-in at noon.
