A memorial service for Willis R. Pittman, 81, of Bainbridge, will be held Saturday, July 25, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Ivey Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen L. Webb officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Ivey Funeral Home.

A graveside service will follow at Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, Ga.

Born June 25, 1928, in Bainbridge, Mr. Pittman died on Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at his lake home near Donalsonville, Ga.

Mr. Pittman was a graduate of Bainbridge High School, Class of 1946, and was a retired letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Lanier Pittman, and a grandson, Joseph Ashley Pittman.

Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Pittman of Bainbridge; his son, Robert L. Pittman of Jacksonville, Fla.; his twin brother, Ennis Pittman of Bainbridge, and four grandchildren.

Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of funeral arrangements.
