Trey Walker from Bainbridge has been named an All-American Scholar. Walker, who attends West Bainbridge Middle School, was nominated for this honor by Delrose Betts. Walker will appear in the All-American Scholar Yearbook, which is published nationally. The Academy selects All-American Scholars upon the exclusive recommendation of teachers, coaches, counselors and other qualified sponsors. Walker is the son of Billy and Rhonda Walker and the grandson of Monroe and Mary Anne Godwin, all of Bainbridge, Cheryl Frazier of Forest Park, Ga., and Bill Walker of Blackshear, Ga. All-American Scholars must earn a 3.3 or higher grade point average. Only scholars selected by a school instructor, counselor or other qualified sponsor are accepted.
