Bobby Nichols

Funeral services for Bobby Dwight Nichols, 77, of Donlsonville, Ga., will be held on Wednesday, July 8, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville with Dr. Gary Smith and the Rev. Curtis Earnest officiating.
Interment will follow at Friendship Memorial Gardens in Donalsonville with Stephen Nichols, Ryan Nichols, Jonathan Nichols, Christopher Nichols, Larry Grant and Junior Barber serving as active pallbearers. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
Born in Donalsonville on Dec. 6, 1931, Mr. Nichols died on Monday, July 6, 2009, at Donalsonville Hospital. He graduated school at Franklin Delano Roosevelt School in Desser in 1948 and was an alumnus of the University of Georgia.
He served his country in the U.S. Army as a medic during the Korean War. Mr. Nichols was a member of Hammock Springs Freewill Baptist Church and retired from the office of Clerk of Superior Court of Seminole County in 1988.
Mr. Nichols was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, June Faircloth Nichols; a brother, Tarvin Nichols; and two sisters, Emma Lee Byrd and Virginia Davis.
Survivors include a brother, Gary Nichols of Donalsonville; a special friend, Zelda Shirah of Bainbridge; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville is in charge of funeral arrangements.
