Another tax increase?

Last October, Barack Obama addressed a crowd in Canton, Ohio. In typical class warfare rhetoric he made this bold promise, “if you make under $250,000, you will not see your taxes increase by a single dime—not your income taxes, not your payroll taxes, not your capital gains taxes. Nothing.”
Last Sunday; however, the Obama White House took a “wait and see” position on the Democrat plan to tax employer provided health insurance benefits.
The vast majority of Americans with employer-provided health plans make well under $250,000. Obama must have been practicing Clintonian word parsing when he promised the middle class that they would not see their taxes increase by a “single dime.” Rest assured, it will be a gas-guzzling truck load more than a single dime.
Sanford Bishop parted ways with the so-called Blue Dog Democrats and his own 2nd District constituency to side with Obama and Nancy Pelosi on the Cap and Trade tax hike. Cap and Trade will hit the middle class hardest through drastic hikes in utility bills.
Where does Bishop stand on taxing employer provided health benefits? Unfortunately, we probably won’t know until the vote forces him to tell us.
