Funeral services for Williezell Reese Helms, 85, of Jakin, Ga., will be held Friday, July 3, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville with Dr. Calvin Arnold and the Rev. Henry Johnson officiating.

Interment will follow at Jakin City Cemetery in Jakin.

Born in Jakin on Nov. 8, 1923, Mrs. Helms died on Wednesday, July 1, 2009, at the Donalsonville Hospital. She was a member of Jakin Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Mrs. Helms was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Talmadge Helms; two sons, Kenny and Ted Helms; and a sister, Clementine Hayes.

Survivors include three daughters, Joyce Vince of Holden, La., Becky McKelvy of Scottsboro, Ala., and Marie Coble of Donalsonville, Ga.; two daughters in law, Lynn Helms of Donalsonville and Sandra Adams of Elberton, Ga.; four brothers, Rudolph Reese of Jakin, Earnest DeLoach Reese of Cartersville, Ga., Ronnie Reese of Hidden Springs, Ga., and Roscoe Reese of Ocala, Fla.; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
